and playoff bound. Joe Gibbs will right the boat despite having a complete tool as an owner. At least this owner has deep pockets. I used to be a Skins fan up until the Panthers came to be and Spurrier took over as head coach. They are officially my second favorite team again and I hope they beat the hell out of Philly and Dallas cuz I hate those guys so , very very much. Dallas better get started cuz they need a QB and a RB too.

Danny-boy has done this before. He can sign all the big names he wants but if they don't fit into Gibb's system he is just wasting his money.

Portis definitely fits. This isn't the smoke and mirors of Deon Sanders and Bruce Smith from a few years ago. I think they are legit.

Bah, Denver gets the better of THAT deal. They are about to land Garner and to gain Champ and the #42 pick in a great draft class rocks for them. Washington still won't make it to the playoffs.
Will someone tell me where the hell they are getting all this spare cap cash to throw around?! I hope league officials get a look at their books. I bet Synder and Co is "bending" the rules.

KEEERYST! He's a good young player that could flurish behind Griffin in the middle for Joe. If they get Gold or Short to play opposite LaVar they will have a nasty LB crew. However, I thought their LBs LAST year would be all-world too.)

I say the skids STILL suck :evil3:

every year it's the same thing. Sign every big name you can. Throw all or any players out that you swooned over last year. Assemble a bunch of players that have never played together and throw in a new coach. Yeah right, they are gonna kick ass this year because Joe's a magician.

If they finish above the damn Cardinals I will be surprised.

Bottom feeders, get use to it Skins.

Skins will make the playoffs. Guarranteed. And not because of these signings (although Portis kicks ass). It's because the Skins will have one of the best, if not THE best coaching staff in the league. That is the one thing they have lacked in Snyder's tenure.

Can't agree. He's been out too long. It's like Jimmy Johnson coming back into the league (worse actually).

I find it pretty homerish to think that a guy who's been out of the league over 10 years is going to have the type of impact you're expecting. Of course, even Barry Switzer has won a super bowl, so anything is possible.

On paper, it's a good coaching staff going from history, but at the same time, there's a very big chance that Gibbs won't be able to relate to today's players and game. I'll reserve judgment until I see a win/loss record for this year, not 1989.
