We need to get down to some CUSA-related talk over here. Assuming the conference stays intact for this coming year, where do you think everyone will finish? The new format makes it harder to guess... But here goes nothing.

1. Cincinnati
2. Louisville
3. Charlotte
4. Memphis
5. Marquette
6. UAB
7. Saint Louis
8. DePaul
9. Tulane
10. South Florida
11. Houston
12. ECU
13. Southern Miss
14. TCU

Things that could alter this ranking:
1. Kendrick Perkins. This ranking assumes that he will wise up and come to college. If not, Memphis drops to 6th or 7th.
2. Dedric Spooner and C.J. Pigford. If Spooner and Pigford don't contribute, Charlotte may have inside trouble again, especially if Iti and Withers can't stay out of foul trouble.
3. Realignment rumors. Remember what happened to the Hornets when the moving turmoil hit them in Charlotte? The same thing could happen to Louisville, Memphis, and Cincinnati.

I agree Tf, lets get down to business. Btw, there were about two new threads created at cusatalk today in the 49er forum, and one of them was about this board. lol.

you really think Marquette will drop that far? It will be interesting to see if Wade made that team go or if they can keep going without him.

I think Cincy's days of dominance are done. The more I see, the less support Huggs is getting up there, then again, that might make him tick.

I am sure Memphis will have a good team. In fact, they are so due that they might and can win the regular season.

As far as us, the potential is scary. One thing I like about us is we are due as well. Our last 60 games we are 31-29, and if you look at Lutz career, there are alot of 25 wins seasons, and he has historically rebounded well.

UL will be awesome, but like Marquette, what can they do without Gaines?

I do think Dwyane Wade probably made that team. They'll have to rebuild - besides, Jackson and Diener are gone too, right? I know one of the 78 Dieners in CUSA was a senior, but I'm not sure which one. LOL Same deal for Louisville - they won't drop AS far, but Gaines was worth at least one spot in the standings, probably.

Like it or not, I think the conference is still Cincy's to win or lose. Love Huggins or hate him, the man can coach and get a lot out of his teams.

We could win that conference, but if we finish 6th I won't be the least bit surprised.

The Marquette Diener is now a junior, as is Scott Merritt. Novak is a sophomore. They will go to the dance, but Wade definitely put them over the hump.

Seems like Huggins always performs better when his back is up against the wall.

Memphis, the Perkins factor will be interesting.

Metro, remember us slapping our foreheads when Louisville #5, Taquean Dean, hit back to back 28 footers in January at Halton? He's a sophomore. Louisville will win 25 I think, but they won't sneak up on anyone this year.

Does everybody think that Clemmons shouldn't see much floor time this year? He had nine turnovers before that injury in one game. I don't think he would be a factor in the Southern Conference.

Demon, Plavich, Iti, Withers and Grier should start. Pigford, Baldwin, Spooner, and Bennett should rotate in. I haven't seen the new guys, but I hope they are better than Eddie B. and Calvin. Even if MItchell's offense hasn't improved much, he should still get 20 minutes a game. His defense gets into the head of the other guards. Lutz needs to realize you don't have to be a three point bomber to play in the backcourt.

Don't hold your breath. We'll have one of the best frontcourts in CUSA next year, and we'll still be shooting 136 threes a game with Demon and Plav back there.

I do remember that Deiner from St Louis talking shit to all of us in the stands!

Dean at UL is scary good. he will pull up from anywhere. UL was so hot that night. I think they hit like 14 of 20 threes. you will win every night doing that.

supposedly guys Clemmons was getting the best of Iti in that pick up game this week. That is not a good sign. I would of hoped Iti could take Clemmons with little effort. I know Clemmons is built like a brick shit house, but I was hoping Iti was savvy with his height.

DePaul is the wild card the next two years. They have four of the top 100 recruits on Rivals, I think three are top 70 and two are top40 or so. Leiato has it going on up there. I think Hoskins is the only graduate this year, I'm pretty sure Andre Brown and QUemont Greer have one more year. Maybe not Greer, I'll check Depaul's website tomorrow.

mike, I have this board and cusatalk open at the same time on two windows. I am watching you smack missj. maybe I can send you messages to give her and you can copy and paste them over there for me. ya know, kind of haunt her like I am speaking to her from the dead. lol:D
