Q: What is the first thing on your mind when you sack the quarterback? James, Hillsborough, NC
A: The first thing on my mind is to look for the call when I get up. I have to make the calls in the huddle, so I might celebrate a little, but then I'm looking for the signal from the sideline almost immediately.
Q: Are you making any adjustments to reduce the possibility of another concussion? Nathan, Shelby, NC
A: No. I'm just going to play football. Concussions are a part of the game, and people exaggerate how many I've really had. I'm fine.
Q: What is your favorite out of all the plays you were involved in since coming to Carolina? Terry Closner, Faith, NC
A: There isn't really a specific play. I'd say playing in the Super Bowl and having a pretty good game out there. The experience was a lot of fun, even though we lost. If there was one play, I'd say the interception against Philadelphia in the NFC Championship Game was pretty memorable.
Q: With the upgrades in the defense this off-season, are you foaming at the mouth to get after people this season? Alverez, North Carolina
A: Yes! With the addition of Thomas Davis, wherever he plays, and having Ken Lucas out there at corner, I think it's really going to help us out and make us that much better.
Q: Who is faster, you or Julius Peppers? Loki, Missouri
A: Me. (smiles)
Q: Do you feel a need to prove yourself given the injuries you have had? Richard Clendenen, West Virginia
A: No. I feel like when I'm out there I'm one of the best middle linebackers in the League. I don't feel like I have a lot to prove, other than staying healthy for 16 games.
Q: What will it be like playing without Mark Fields? Mark Wyatt, North Carolina
A: We're going to miss Mark. He's doing what's best for him and his family. We wish him the best. Somebody has to step up now. We're going to miss him, though.
