Listen, if I have to listen to pop, I'll take the real thing. Actual talent bolstered by a killer songwriting team and backed by about fifteen producers.

Or better yet, Mariah Carey. Writes her own shit, stopped the vocal fireworks to belt out real songs, just R&B enough. I'll even take her over Gwen Stefani, who unfortunately has fancied herself a Japanese schoolgirl for whatever fucking reason...Gwen was a killer vocalist back before the record companies got wind of her. It's a shame.
