from here on, the Panthers need to be focused on getting homefield advantage. At 5-0, it is an issue now :D . The road to the Superbowl is much easier if we can beat out Minnesota and whoever else surfaces as a competitor.

I agree, but I think it is fair to say we will win 10 games and are playoff bound. I just am gonna be so disagppointed if this happens and we lose home field, at least the first round or so.

schedule strength

CAR vs. MIN
* = tougher opponent

@NYG – NYG (same)
Det – Det (“”)
@Ari – @Ari (“”)
@Hou – @Chi (even)
Ten – Den (about the same threat)
@Dal – GB (equally dangerous)
Was – Sea* (Sea is a little tougher but we have yet to beat Was so it’s close)
Phi – KC* (#1 KC is loaded and much tougher than anyone on our schedule)
*TB – @StL
*@Atl – @Oak
*@NO – @SD
The last 3 above are likely wins for Min and huge question marks for us.

They have an easier schedule and we should lose at least one more game just based on the difficulty of opponents . . . but things can change from day to day in the NFL, and they usually do.
Neither team is the ’72 Dolphins and there will definitely be L’s for both clubs. Even red-hot KC will lose at least a couple of games.

BTW - It's "don't COUNT your eggs before they hatch" fellers.)

it is awfully early to be talking about home-field. but consider this...one more win in 96 and we have the home field througout the playoffs and the NFC championship game is played in charlotte, not green bay. two games come to mind that year that were very winnable...a 14-12 loss at minn in week 5 and a 20-17 loss at atlanta in week 9.

Hopefully Fox can keep the players more focused than the fans tend to be. We have a lot of tough games left.
