The Panthers shuffled their practice squad Tuesday by signing receiver Erfem Hill and linebacker Timi Wusu.

To make room, they released offensive lineman Adam O’Connor and defensive lineman Rob Droge.

Hill was given extensive playing time in the preseason and there was hope he could win the punt return job. But he struggled with consistency and was released.

he wasn't Steve Smith, but Marshal & Gamble haven't exactly been lighting it up...besides, those guys might be getting winded before they even get the ball from playing defense...at least when Smith went out there to catch a punt, he came off the bench and was rested

i'm thinking it also means Hartwig's back

saw where Cedric Humes was released by the Steelers, was hoping we'd scoop him up.

hate to see O'Connor leave. Not sure if he was any good but he was the only Ragsdale High player hanging around the NFL since Mark Dixon retired from the Dolphins.

saw where Cedric Humes was released by the Steelers, was hoping we'd scoop him up.

I liked him in the draft, and thought the Steelers got a steal by drafting him in the 7th (?). I'm surprised he didn't stick, but I guess Davenport won out.

Do you think he'd be an upgrade over Shelton?
