I think Smith playing makes us a 9-7 team which may not be a playoff team this year. Without Smith we are a 4-12 team.

I don't think Foster is the real deal. Never have. Henning needs a RB that can carry the load for his offense to work, otherwise the defense is on the field way too much. Williams may be the answer. I don't really know?

What do you fools think?

The first half of the season was a lot easier than the later half. We need to get on a roll before the Cincy, Pittsburgh, Dallas, Giants and other conference games come around

I think you have a one track mind, and it's time to change the track.

I think we will get on a roll and win some games this year. How big of a hole we dig first is going to dictate if we can get in the playoffs. The OL will eventually gel to some point and Smith will get healthy. If we beat Tampa that is going to go a long way towards righting the ship. 0-2 is not a big deal really but you do not want to get in another 1-7 situation. If we are at .500 by mid season we will be fine. The good news is that Tampa is in worse disarray than we are.

the nfc is gonna be crazy. wait and see. the loss to the vikes could be a factor down the road.

When you lose a game because you do something really really stupid like we did against the Vikings then it almost always comes back to bite you. I could see us missing the playoffs because of that loss.

That's a bit over the top. Without Smith, we should be a 1-1 team, and we would probably be starting numerous threads about how Keyshawn/Carter is a fine pairing.

Remember, after going 6-2 in the second half of 2004, some people we reluctant to hand the #1 spot back to Smith. Hell, I even recall somebody from a different MB saying that we should trade Smith and keep Muhammad. We've shown that we can be a good team with or without him, as long as someone else steps up to the plate. We have guys who can do that.
