Playing time set for Saturday night

Poor Randy... I suppose he'll go out there and do his best. He is in a no win situation. He could rack up 3 TD's and everyone will say it was against the third stringers.

Question on the split time with Delhomme and Winky. Suppose Delhomme goes out first and plays what could be a mix of 1st and second team Skins defenders or perhaps mostly second. Winky could indeed be out there with our 2nd team, but it could be Washingtons' 3rd team - who knows? Point - 4 games, 4 first quarters, give each QB 1 qtr with our first team against their first team... nah, that makes to much sense.

hadn't thought about it but a lot of RBs tend to sit more than others in the preseason... from what a recollect

That's true but didn't he just miss an afternoon practice down in camp too. Fox said he was "just giving him the day off"

I can't say for sure...so this is just a guess really.

Before Stevil (thanks for that term Meat) became the Skins head coach, Marty seemed intent on running Davis into the ground. He can probably use all the time off he can get during the summer.

I'm not sure how Fox's quote indicates that they're being careful with Stephen Davis. All Fox said was that Davis will play, but how much, he doesn't know. Besides, I think I know what Davis brings to the team. I don't need him getting any more hits than he needs to in pre-season. Bottom line is that it doesn't bother me at all.

That's about as expected. No worries. Fair and equal playing time based on performance thus far. Though, to be honest, it does seem to suggest pitting Delhomme against Weinke, when that's not necessarily the case.

Davis' shoulder might not be perfect. Either way, he's probably the most important offensive player we have right now - putting him in too long, especially against his old team, could cost us. We know what Davis can do, he's not competing against anyone. Get him two series to make sure everyone's on the same page, then bring in Hicks and Brown rotated.

Yup yup. More so than seeing what Davis can do I want to see how our "new' O-line looks. I've also been dying to see what Hicks has left. I remember him years ago backing up Davis in Washington and he had a very nice burst back then. He displayed some real urgency to get to (and through) any initial gapage. I am thinking he is definitely an upgrade over Brown as that every-down backup we needed last year and with Davis an upgrade to L Smith and a healthy Foster an upgrade to Brown in the 3rd down back role for this year . . . ShoooooWeeee! Our backs should be kicking ass this year!:D
