Anyone actually watch basketball or do we just piss and moan about stupid shit all year?

Anyway, huge win last night for the Pistons. If not for a miracle comeback by the Lakers a couple of nights ago, the NBA would be staring at their worst nightmare; a Pistons/Spurs final.

Considering Boston hasn't won a game on the road yet (even in ATL) do you think they can bounce back and win one in Detroit? There haven't been a lot of road wins in the playoffs yet so last night's win was big for Detroit. The Spurs choked a 20 pt lead in LA but they still have one more chance to steal one there.

It's a dream Final Four, but you know the NBA wishes Boston/LA would be the finals. I think Boston might have lost their chance last night. Wasted what might have been Ray Allen's last good offensive performance?

It would be great if Phil Jackson could win another one, but that Kobe could lose. I think the Gasol trade was the best thing they've done all year.
I'm kinda rooting for KG and RA - they deserve it. Kinda don't like Paul Pierce, though.
I'm pulling for Rasheed, too, but I don't care too much for the Pistons.
That leaves the Spurs, and although I like Ginobli and Duncan, they're just a boring team to watch.

So... I'll watch the playoffs if there's nothing else on, but that's it. I was really hoping Chris Paul and the Hornets were going to beat the Spurs and make some noise, though.

I do not really care about it. I hope Kobe does not win though, I have never liked him. I am glad the Hornets are out. I hope they never win another game.

I've been watching. I typically only start paying attention to playoff basketball in the NBA, not having a rooting interest.

I feel the Spurs barely survived the Hornets, as the younger team came out cold and tight shooting until the 4th, and then it was too late. The Spurs role players still look old, and Manu has to get going for them to beat the Lakers.

Duncan will get his, as the Lakers don't have anyone like Chandler who can check him. But the same goes on the other end, with Gasol and Odum's quickness and passing ability. Add in Kobe's ability to take off and win any game himself when the other guys are struggling is big. They'll need at some point someone like Fisher or Farmar to step up and hit some big outside shots to win. I'll take the Lakers in 7.

I like Detriot over the Celtics, in 6. When Detroit has it's head in the game, they are still a dominant team, and I don't think they;ll get too cocky vs the Celts. The Celts don't have the depth that the Pistons have.

NBA ratins were up 20 percent in the regular season, and have seen a huge upswing in the playoffs. http://www.ohio.com/sports/19189314.html

I usually watch the last few rounds of the playoffs but I haven't watched much this year. Great final four with so many titles between all four teams.

Lakers and Celtics SOUNDS good but it's just not the same without Bird, Magic, Kareem, Mchale.

Can't believe the Spurs let the Lakers come back like they did. Still think the Spurs will find a way to win that series and the Pistons will beat the Celtics so - there you go - the NBA gets a finals matchup they are dreading.

I am not sure the Spurs can get it done but I do think that the Pistons will beat the Celtics. Lakers vs Pistons would not be so bad, a rematch from the early 90s.

I have always hated Kobe, but man, that team is something else. They are really really playing well. Boston vs LA is going to be a hell of a series.

Kobe got to Jordan level in this series. It's done. No wild shots, no 5 on 1, no yelling at teamates. He played a controlled game all series, Odom contributed, Gasol contributed, Fisher, Radmonovich, even Walton had his moments. But come the 4th, it was Kobe. He's the one who stepped on the Spurs throats.

It will be Boston, with both Billups and Hamilton gimpy now. But it doesn't matter. Lakers in 5.
