We'll see how our camp develops. I hope we end up looking something like this.

QBs
1. Weinke
2. Peete
3. Fasini – It wouldn’t take much for Fasini to move ahead of Peete by years end. No need to coddle this guy.

RB

1. Smith
2. Foster
3. Montgomery
4. Bates
FB
1. Hoover – Will see lots of time as an H back.
2. Johnson

WR
1. Moose
2. Byrd
3. Smith
4. Jeffers
5. Hankton
6. Terrell Harris – Patrick Ramsey’s favorite target at Tulane.

TE

1. Walls
2. Crawford
3. Heinrich

OL

1. Stussie (T)
2. Donnaley (G)
3. Mitchell (C)
4. Nesbit (G)
5. Terry (T)
6. James (G-T)
7. Williams (C-G)
8. Pete Campion (G-T)
9. Jordan (G) – This is his last year to show he can start.

DL
1. Peppers
2. Rucker
3. Jenkins
4. Gilbert
5. Buckner
6. Burton
7. Williams
8. Milem

LB
1. Fields
2. Morgan
3. Navies
4. Witherspoon
5. Towns – Holds off Allen.
6. Jackson – Utilility Wells type
7. Kyle – Long snapping duties keep him here. He’s solid there.

DB

1. Cousins
2. Jenkins
3. Minter
4. Grant
5. Wesley – He’ll at least get looks in the nickel, perhaps more
6. Vinision – I’d like to see Davis here instead, but that’s me.
7. Harper
8. J. Cooper
9. D. Cooper

ST

1. Kasey
2. Saurburn

Richardson, Tuten and Mangum are gone from this list. Inexperienced youth beat vets we know are bad.

agree, but Fasani IMO will probably top out quick. It wasn't his best play that was a problem, it was the inconsistency of it.

RB
Tell the truth I don't see Bates at RB and I definately don't think we can get by with three true RB. I'm figuring we carry 6 WR, swapping in Bates for Hankton or Harris/Tolhurst, and carry Goings or Brown.

TE
I can only hope Mangum goes. I don't know why, it's just where I'm at.

OL
No argument here, though I wouldn't write off Washington or Fletcher.

DL
no real argument from here on down

Well, Bates should really be listed as a Kick returner, but he's always been listed as a running back. That's the only reason he's there. Special teams seem to get the players they want, and Hankton and Bates give a lot to that.

Should Montgomery go down in the season, I see Hoover taking that role. Hoover will play a lot at several spots, I imagine.

So, in short, I think we will carry 3 true RBs. It'd be nice to see Brown step up and be a real 3rd down threat, but I'm thinking Fox will go with his guy unless Dee just stands out. And it would be nice to keep 4, but that means Hankton is a goner and we carry 5 WRs. A bit thin.

hmm

With all the hype anthony bright is getting, you don't think he makes the cut? Interesting. So who are your special team starters? (I realize they have to have a slot but I'm interested in who will get the nod as the gunners).

Harris is bigger and stronger, and was productive in college. Bright's fast, but 170 soaking wet.

Bates and J Cooper will be our gunners.

Yep. We will have a damn fine punt return team, if we can ever force anyone to punt.
