    i heard some writer, on cowherd, from the atlanta journal constitution give a list of reason why petrino would not run out on the falcons after this year.

    lately, it seems like these college guys are making a bad name for themselves and everyone else interested in moving up to the pros.

    when your QB goes to prison, your team splits down the middle because of it, and your supposed star players have no respect for you it's time to move on. You won't do yourself any favors by staying.

    Bobby Petrino resigned as Atlanta Falcons coach on Tuesday and will take the head coaching job at Arkansas, sources told FOXSports.com. He lasted only 13 games with the NFL team.

    Petrino called a staff meeting late Tuesday afternoon, a meeting which last about 10 seconds, sources said.
    "He just said to us, 'Guys I've resigned, I'm going to Arkansas. I'm sorry. I'll be talking with you guys in the future.' And with that he turned and walked out the door. We haven't been told anything else," said one assistant coach.

    At this point, the assistant coaches have not been told who will be coaching the team going forward.

    Petrino left Louisville to become Falcons coach in January for a five-year, $24 million contract, largely because Atlanta felt he could help star quarterback Michael Vick reach his full potential.

    Sounds like Nick Saban leaving Miami. Can't sday I blame him but it i a pretty shitty way to do business. His reputation takes a hit on this

    yeah. I mean, jaded kids won't put thought into it, but here's a guy expecting you to put your neck out on the line and he quits halfway into December.

    I can't believe there are coaches using the NFL as a fucking steppingstone into SEC money, either.
