The Panthers may not be set at defensive end just yet. According to a league source, the Panthers will have Stryker Sulak in for a visit Friday.
Sulak was a sixth-round pick out of Missouri by the Raiders, but recently was released. He's visiting New England Monday and will make the trip to Carolina if he doesn't sign in the meantime.

Sulak may be considered undersized at 6-foot-2 and 251 pounds, but he has a history of production. He had 10.5 sacks at Missouri last year. He could have a shot at playing time behind Julius Peppers, Charles Johnson, Tylor Brayton and Everette Brown.

Having an extra situational pass rusher is probably more valuable than a marginal linebacker like Anderson, especially if he can play special teams.

You do realize the Colts started a DT that was 2 inches taller, and not more than 10 pounds heavier, than Sulak?

Having an extra situational pass rusher is probably more valuable than a marginal linebacker like Anderson, especially if he can play special teams.

I doubt either would be active most weeks, but Sulak has potential for development depending on how Peppers or Brayton plays out.

Nothing indicates he fucked up or showed poorly, they cut him after they signed Ellis, and it isn't like this hasn't happened before- Raheem Brock.

i was only pointing out that it shouldn't surprise us when a guy from a line of coaches that believe in small DLs starts stockpiling small DEs
