I got an idea to look a little deeper into this from a post on another board...interesting how the numbers crunch.
Carolina and Tampa have 6 common opponents so far this year.
.....................Carolina............Tampa
KC..................W 28-17...........W 34-31
Atlanta............L 10-27............L 14-24
Denver.............L 17-20...........L 13-16
Seattle............L 17-23............L 6-10
Oakland...........L 24-27............L 20-30
San Francisco...W 37-27..........W 35-3
Looks pretty close, huh? crunch the numbers a little more. the average score in the Panthers game is 22.17 to 23.50. For Tampa, 19.00 to 20.33. average margin of defeat for both teams: 1.33 points.
of course, we did play 4 of those games on the road and they played 4 of theirs at home (KC, Denver, Seattle, and San Fran).
I know, i know...stats are for losers. i was a little bored tonight and thought i would try to have a little fun with the numbers.
happy thanksgiving everyone.
