Anybody ever had it? What did it feel like?

I don't feel so good. :worried:

I had what my doctor called ‘the strangest case of pancreatitis he’d ever seen.’ What had happened was a small gull stone blocked a tube in my pancreas which caused it become inflamed. It hurt like hell initially…the stoned ended up clearing by itself after a few weeks.

Where is your pain located?

I don't have pain per se. It started out like a spasm about 2 inches below my left breast now and again about a week and a half ago. Thought it was a gas bubble. Would come and go. Then it started feeling like someone's finger pushing on that spot. Then I started feeling dizzy now and again. No appetite, but when I started eating realized how hungry I was. Saturday felt terrible, drained, dizzy, sore in that spot. Spent Sunday on the couch because I just felt generally bad and the soreness had kind of spread to my left side. If I tried to sit up, it felt swollen in that area inside and was not comfortable. Woke up feeling fine today with just a little tenderness in that spot. Now I don't feel so good, but I've been sitting up all day.

I thought the gall bladder was on the right side. Why would I get a gall stone in my pancreas?

The stones travel through the digestive track….

You might as well go to the doctor…the first steps are a CT scan and an ultrasound to confirm pancreatitis. There are two types of pancreatitis. You can do some simple internet research and find out enough to scare the hell out of you. The doctor me if I had full blown pancreatitis, I’d be on the floor in pain and sick as hell.

If you really think it is your pancreas, don’t mess around waiting….

i have no idea what this is. i don't know what organs we have in our body at that spot. the only thing i could find is the stomach and pancreas.

i would think the pain would be much greater, but it's tender right there and i have general feeling of malaise.

The pancreas is on the left side…down towards where your rib cage ends…a little in front of the arm pit if you follow it down.

One of my best friends had it two years ago. He was in the hospital twice for two weeks. He was pretty lucky to survive it. He was a heavy drinker, bad diet and family history of diabetes. He hasn't had, nor can ever have a drop of alcohol. He's in shape now and is much healthier. I'm pretty sure the pain is level of causing you to pass out.

i haven't passed out, just felt real dizzy. i'm not in anything close to severe pain.
