The NFC East

Eagles still can't stop the run. As a matter of fact they may be worse against it this year.

Redskins look lost on the O-line and at QB

The Cowboys are in the same situation with their QB, and there seems to be regular dissention and overall lack of motivation on the team.

And the Giants have a pathetic O-Line, a rookie QB and a vet that has lost it. Not to mention Fumbalina.

Yet this division is being hyped as possibly the tops. They aren't better than the South by any means and the Central will be much stronger this year. The East will get one team in the playoffs and I have a feeling they won't last there very long.

Yeah but did you see Dayne the other night? I hope our front 7 makes him look more like the old Ron Dayne than the apparent new one. Coughlin will pull whatever is necessary to make himself look like a winner on national TV and our subs should see a heavy dose of that damn guy tomorrow.

I may be wrong, but our front 7 > kansas city's front 7

Yeah, though Cunningham will probably have KCs D improved a little overall they will still have problems against the run again this year since he apparently still does not have the personnel to fit his scheme. I have seen Dayne when he was pushing 250 and at his current weight of 230 he is noticeably quicker and faster than he has been in recent years. He looked good in the clips of the KC game I saw and though I’m not overly concerned about him beating our starters he could reek a little havoc on our subs.

I am pretty sure Dayne ain't no Portis. And Portis, well, we pretty much negated him.

I happen to believe that PORTIS ain't no Portis either. I still say that without that Denver line (and behind his current one) he is going to look almost mediocre this year . . . sorta like he looked against our starters. I don't think he got a shot at our subs but I'm pretty sure that he would have done a little better against our 2nd 3rd and 4th stringers. My point was/is that Coughlin is supposedly going to work Dayne all through preseason (not just in the first quarter or two as a starter). Also - he is going to want to make his hiring look like a smart move in a nationally televised game against the defending NFC champs (and ex-expansion team rival . . . you know he's gotta hate the Panthers).
You guys seem to be expecting a Panther blowout.
I'm expecting maybe another OT win.)

btw - I don't give too much of a damn about the final score, but I don't want us to look bad or get any significant injuries. Coughlin will do whatever he has to to get a preseason W, including blitzing like a MoFo and rushing Dayne against our scrubs in the 4th quarter.

3 consecutive NFC Conf appreances, Andy Reid, McNabb/Owens...Philly is also a pretty big market

Same division also just happens to have two HOF coaches, America's team, the Nations capital's team, and even though there's Sargent Coughlin, New York is a pretty big market too

Compare that to the NASCAR division with Haslett, 3rd year HC Fox, Mora Jr, and Chuckie, even with two SB apprearances the last two years and Vick, those 4 NFCE teams will get a lot of media coverage.

Even around here in NC, there's a ton of Cowboy & Skins fans.
