Outlook Express----Virus

About every other day some one named Rubdub will send me a klez virus but the Norton grabs it as soon as I highlight the e-mail to delete it. I don't have to open it for the Norton screen to jump up. It just immediately jumps up and only gives me one choice and that is to quarantine it. Something don't seem right about that. That Norton would know it was there before I opened the attachment. Could this be a trick by the sender. I have run several scans by checkers just for that klez thing but they don't come up with nothing even though I got a bunch of them in quarantine.
Anybody shed any light on this thing?

Have you tried blocking that e-mail address?

Yeah--I blocked it but then it returns as a variation if the Rubdub or a bud dud or dudrub---fom another box. But you have to highlight it to block it each time.

Hey Putt,
Norton is doing its job by picking off the klez and putting it in quarantine. Klez uses a "spoofed" email addy so if you want to try to find the origin of the email, right click on the sender, click properties and click on details, then check the return path of the message. After you determine the true return path, you should email them and advise them that they are infected, they may not even know. It may be someone that has your email addy in their address book and once infected with klez, the virus sends itself to everyone in the address book using a fake email address to prevent the recipient from blocking the emails.

I got a klez virus last week via email, from someone that stole an aquaintance's identity. I opened it and got infected. The email looked and sounded legit. I've since installed anti-virus.
