One of TBR's own needs some help

Hey Niner crew, one of our own, SilverSurfer could use some encouragement and prayers. He had a cancerous growth removed from his colon on June 28. SS is a wonderful guy, a graduate of App State and lives in Hickory. He wife works out of my company's home office. Funny thing is we both were posting here and didn't know how small a world it really was.

I had the pleasure of taking him to dinner and the game when East Carolina came to Halton Arena this past season. He is a hige Panthers fan, but best of all, is a consumate ABC fan.

I think those of you who are relatively new to the This Board Rocks board have found out what a sense of community and family is here, not like any other message board I'm aware of.

If you are so inclined, take a moment and go to this thread, I need prayers and give Dave a bit of support.

Will be sending them up for you SS, hey even though we don't pull for the same team, we still share the same board and world. Never met SS, but has always been a cool guy and pain when it comes to ACC basketball . Here is to a speedy recovery.
