they stll had wharton at OT. Bridges begrudgingly makes it. Wharton is really our insurance at LT, but Bridges did allright backing up both at times this year. Schwartz is still a bit of a project, Omiyale and Riley didn't show anything.

Decided to keep Hayden, though I'm not sure I can defend that. We don't need 5 DT that badly, and we're going to be using DEs as DT at times. But I like to keep 9 DL, and he's the next most talented player outside of the two-deep.

I like shaw but he's not in the top 8. Anderson isn't a tough cut. After that, it's just whether we can afford to keep a ST player in Curry. As it turned out, keeping 9 DL, 9 DB means either keeping 7 LB or 4 specialists. So, essentially Curry and Lloyd are fighting for the same job. So, that option made, I kept Lloyd.

Sorry, Wesley. It's just a numbers thing, but he hasn't bee that good either. Colclough has been worth that weird contract, and Wilson looked good back at CB as a nickel. With Gamble a FA, and us putting money into what we will need to put money into, I'm not sure we'll get to make him a long term guy. Colclough and Wilson aren't ideal nickels but between they and a midround CB we could cover it effectively if we needed, so it's tough to get rid of either.

ps - Bernardeau as a 3rd C and developmental guard; Schwartz as our extra tackle. Taylor as a hybrid guy. Pickup a developmental CB, and since we've almost never kept just 6 LB plus Kyle, a LB makes sense.

Inactives - initially, Smith. 3rd QB, Brown at G, Connor, Wilson, Hayden, McClover, Barnidge. with Smith back in, Carter is cut, and my guess is whoever gets signed back would be inactive.

I believe Robinson to be better than Carter, and we have the two game thing with Smith. I don't think it'd be necessary to do that given the two game buffer, but if Robinson hasn't gotten healthy by week 1, it's probably safe to knock him to the training room full time to keep Carter.

Last night during the game, I remember seeing Jason Carter on the sideline with a knee injury. From the looks of the play, it is most likely a sprained knee.

If that is what the injury is, he is gone! Most likely our punt returner isn't even on the roster right now.....
