How can we define success in those nine games. We are not going to make the playoffs but lets look at it like it is a nine game season with no playoffs.

Obviously winning all nine would be nice but more specifically than that I would like to see:

1 We find our running game again. Whether it is Davis coming back or Hoover getting it done we need to get back on track with our running game. Maybe the continued shuffling of the OL will hit on a combo that works.
2. We find a way to stop the run. Our defense needs to be able to at least slow down the run. I know Jenkins is out but he was only one man in a "best front seven in the league". I do not know if it is talent or the way we have been scheming but it needs to get a lot better. If we are protecting the secondary to the point of sacrificing our run D, then we need to stop doing it and let the secondary sink or swim. We need to find out what we have back there.
3. Jake needs to pull himself together. I would like to see him play some good games down the stretch so he and us will have some confidence in him.
4. Probowls, I would like to see some of our guys make the probowl like maybe Peppers and Morgan (if his feelings heal up enough for him to actually play)

I think finding an o line that works. that in itself will/should help us find our running game and help Jake pull himself together. they gave him good pass protection Sunday. if they can open the run game up(we need a healthy RB though) we could be back on track. wins wont really tell us much (with our remaining schedule vs. weak teams) but losses sure might.

Wins would be good evev if they are against weak teams. This team has lost its confidence and that would help get it back.

I am not sure we have a player we can reasonbly expect to play right tackle at a high level on this team right now. We might find a couple of decent guards if we are able to evaluate our players. Wharton and Reyes are young and would help us out a lot if they can solidify their positions as our starting guards.

My goal is still play-offs. We have not been mathematically eliminated so there is still hope. Cleveland even made the play-offs at 8-8 one year as Division Champs. Minnesota was 7-1 at this point last year and bombed on out. The possibility still exists although slim and help is needed. One game at a time starting with the Raiders. :xyzthumbs

We are a team of runs under Fox. 3-0, 0-8, 4-1 in 2002. Up and down last year too really.

I just want another win soon so I can wash my old jersey and start wearing my new one.

I want to see this team FINISH every play like they did last year. The effort is there, the results aren't. If the Panther start to FINISH plays off as they have in the past, we will all be very happy.

10-6 baby...

Wildcard spot...

Then anything can happen :xyzthumbs

playoff chances are slim to none, and slim was just put on ir.
