College football - with "college" being synonymous with "amateur" - died a long time ago. The only question remaining is how much do we exploit the labor of the players. The free scholarship rebuttal is unacceptable, because that's a drop in the bucket compared to what the universities/coaches/networks take in.


I agree that the current situation is kind of the worst of all worlds, though.

College football is just the NFL developmental G League. The most attention I pay to college football is around draft time. I got to see which injured players the Panthers might draft.
