NEW YORK -- Six players, including the heart of the Minnesota Vikings' stout defensive line, were suspended for four games without pay by the NFL on Tuesday for violating the league's anti-doping policy.
All six were punished for using a diuretic, which can serve as a masking agent for steroids.
The suspended players were running back Deuce McAllister and defensive linemen Charles Grant and Will Smith of New Orleans; defensive linemen Kevin and Pat Williams of Minnesota; and long snapper Bryan Pittman of Houston.

Grant is already on the IP and it won't be added to next year so whopty fucking do. Plus I heard on ESPN radio that 2 NFL league officials admit that they knew there was something illegal in a suppliment the players were taking that would get caught by the drug test but did not tell the players. This suspension won't hold up

So Saints have their ends and Deuce out for the final game...Vikings defense will unequivocably blow now too

I had MIN's defense starting this week against DET. My other defense is TEN vs. CLE. I just switched to make TEN the starter. Was that a mistake?

I hope they get these reversed, just because Atlanta will run all over Minny otherwise.

It's odd that Atlanta's Grady Jackson wasn't one of those six. He took the same stuff, did he not? Atlanta papers are saying his appeal is still pending.

I would never have had TEN on the bench in the first place....

But they announced to the entire league that that particular supplement had the ingredient back in 2006 and warned players to NOT take any supplements at all, or if they did, to do so at there own risk.
