not saying I agree with it, and I'm not 100% sure it'll happen, but I wouldn't be shocked. Witherspoon has yet to be signed, and they may feel Davis has more upside. Its also possible that Davis could add a little bulk before next season and go to SLB, but he struggled there early.Clay said:

Davis would fit well weakside. I also feel like he'd fit well strongside, and the team's put him there before, so I certainly hope they don't let Witherspoon go without a strong fight.
I also still feel like Davis could impact at safety next year. He's gotta improve at coverage, but he's had some decent spots in there already. Hopefully, in the end, it'll be a matter of deciding upon a position, and pushing him there to get experience, rather than worrying about fitting him into the puzzle we have left.

he's got frame to add 5-10 lbs, possibly, but I don't know how much it'd help him. He's already decent at shedding blocks on the move, and it's not like we wouldn't still put him into space, like Fields.The Brain said:

I would bet heavily that if we go to the SB (wishful thinkin) that WW and DF sign elsewhere for bigger bucks than we want to pay. Along with any others in contract year this year on our roster. A harsh reality, but goes with the territory with winning.
