5:48 PT: The Charlotte Observer reports the Carolina Panthers have hired David Magazu as their new tight ends coach. He served as the offensive line coach at Boston College the last four seasons.

that's the type hire I expected to see at TEs. A second level line coach coming up. Wish we had a front line third tier assistant the way the passing game has one in McCoy. Speaking of, we have no defensive assistants left. Both of them are position coaches now. Hope we get on that shit fast, defensive assistants are the ones generally assisting the workings of the defense overall.
