It will go over your current CDs and DVDs and it you can still put the DVD/CD in any player and it will work, but it prevents scratching of the CD... supposed to increase their lifespan indefinitely

I agree, but 95% of people don't... so its kinda nice... I'd like to have some to use on my core CDs I use for my computer... the ones I ACTUALLY paid for... that way I'm assured that they last... probably would use them on DVDs as well

Remember when CD's were first invented, and they said CD's would be so durable, you could drag a nail across it?
