In this poll before duke and wake game unc was number 17.In the espn poll unc was mumber19.When you only lose to duke by 2.And you beat wake you move up

took the #1 team in the nation in OT. With that and our RPI and beating WF, that helped. Prolly doesn't matter tho, GT might be an L for the boys.
 
looks like a big reason UNC moved up was because the teams 3 or 4 spots ahead of them al lost and lost to lower caliber teams than dook.

Often it is all about timing. FSU has been on the verge of moving in several times but always seem to lose right before the next poll is done.
