And we'll let Draft walk, but maybe we'll at least get a suitable young replacement and put Seward outside.

Nothing worse than a tease player on your roster. Biakabatuka was the same way. Highly skilled but never healthy. He keeps you waiting on him when he is never going to get well for good. It keeps the team from moving on and finding a solid player for the slot.

What's bad about this, other than the roster spot? We can pay for a replacement, b/c Morgan is getting paid like a scrub.

I am no doctor but I believe that once you have a concussion it is easier to have a second one. I doubt your brain ever fully recovers from it. It is not like a knee or ankle that is ok once it heals. When you retire you can live with a bad knee or even have a knee replacement. You have made millions of dollars and if you were smart with the money you will never have to work again, at least not at a job that is hard on your joints. You can not do anything for your brain though. Once it goes it goes. Morgan really needs to hang it up.

As long as we are waiting on Morgan we will not invest a high draft pick or free agent money in a middle linebacker. Once Morgan goes down again after a game or two we will be stuck with a scrub. Draft may not be here this year for us to fall back on.

I think him playing for minimum allows us to draft high or pay big.

All he has done here is delayed retirement until the preseason, because he'll concuss again in Gm 1.
