So if he is a $12.435 mil cap hit in 2005, and his salary is $665,000 then cutting him next year only saves the $665,000, and there's a $11.77 mil cap hit regardless. Right?

Surely thats not the way that would work! If it is then Moose will be a Panther to his grave.

No they would not owe him the 10 mil roster bonus

Observer article says that 10 million of it is a roster bonus.

So that almost guarantees he will be cut.
