It seems that Moose has a part-time job (at least a temporary one) during the playoffs: (from NFL.com)

Current players to work as correspondents

Muhsin Muhammad, Dre Bly, Kevin Carter and Sam Madison to provide interviews postgame from playoff sites
(Jan. 5, 2005) -- Beginning with Wild Card Weekend and continuing throughout the playoffs, NFL fans will get a unique perspective of this season's quest for a Super Bowl championship as NFL Network deploys current players Muhsin Muhammad (Carolina Panthers), Dre Bly (Detroit Lions), Kevin Carter (Tennessee Titans) and Sam Madison (Miami Dolphins) to report on the postseason for NFL Total Access.

The four players will be reporting live, providing postgame reports, analysis and locker room interviews with players and coaches from the following wild-card games:

Saturday, January 8
St. Louis Rams @ Seattle Seahawks -- Dre Bly
New York Jets @ San Diego Chargers -- Kevin Carter
Sunday, January 9
Denver Broncos @ Indianapolis Colts -- Sam Madison
Minnesota Vikings @ Green Bay Packers -- Muhsin Muhammad
Last season's crew of player reporters featured Patrick Kerney (Falcons), Hugh Douglas (Jaguars, now Eagles), Donnie Edwards (San Diego Chargers) and Dhani Jones (Giants, now Eagles). Coincidentally, all of the 2003 NFLTA playoff reporters currently are on 2004 division championship teams and are playing in the 2004 playoffs. Last year’s reporters will be interviewed by their successors this postseason.

NFL Total Access, hosted by Rich Eisen with analysts Lincoln Kennedy, Rod Woodson and Terrell Davis, will deliver on its name by going deep inside the NFL playoffs, going live following the late game with expanded telecasts. NFLTA is the show of record for the latest news and information on the National Football League.

EDIT: I found something else on there-- Holly Robinson-Peete is going to be on Total Access tonight (Thurs.) in the studio.

I just switched to satelite and have been watching NFL Network like crack. I did notice when Moose and the other three athelete-correspondents were joking around, Sam Madison told Moose that he should come down to Miami and play for Nick Saban. Moose said something to the effect that he was a free agent this year and that he did like the Miami weather.

Maybe he's just making some public noise to push the Panthers front office into a better contract offer, I dunno. Man, I would be sick to see him in Miami.
