Last summer I bought a mandevilla plant called "Red Riding Hood". It's got deep red flowers and is a tropical. I brough it inside for the winter. Question is, has anyone ever had any luck rooting this plant? I've looked online and can only find suggestions for rooting, but no one is saying if they're done it. Anyone?

I asked my wife who is pretty plant savvy and she said the best thing to do is put put it in a pot with "root tone?" I am assuming it's some plant food, in the sun (indoors now) and place a sealed clear top over the pot to keep the humidity up. She did this with a Clematis and was successful. She also said she wouldn't do it again as you can buy these at the end of the season for $3 dollars at most nursery's and it's hit or miss getting them to grow.
