After reading all the Monday morning bullshit on break....Im seeing some troublesome comments, although theyre true. And theyre coming from our two free agents.

Ken Lucas says that we just cant come out there and not play with the fire and intensity that we do with home games on the road and expect to win. Hes right. Peppers had already bitched earlier about rushing three on third downs, and hes right. It gives the O all fucking day, and they have lots of time to throw, way too often.

Whale spoke of empty sets, and when we do that theyre bringing in more than they can block, and when we have empty sets its obvious theyre going to blitz and we dont have enough out there to block. Said to do the math. Hes right too.

All in all....its going to take better play from the players, no doubt. BUt lost in the Trgo sucks stuff, which Trgo does suck....is that Henning isnt having a stellar year either. Neither is Fox. If the players are to stop bitching, we better put everyone in a better position to win. This might not be a fair post, and the title may be overblown a bit...but 1-2 is inexcusable. There cant keep being excuses. Theres lots of talent here. Win with it or get the fuck out. That being said, I dont want Fox going anywhere, but Im not sold on either coordinator, but we cant get rid of both, and we will not likely get rid of even one of them.

To me, the losses aren't inexcusable, but the way we lost was. Letting the Saints drive and get a FG in the last 50 seconds, and then in FG range at Miami and Jake throwing an INT, we gave both games away, we should be 3-0. Reminds me of the 1-15 year where we were lsing by 1-3 points every game . Crock of shit. They need to get Gardner in there, take Jake off of fucking commercials and make him bust his ass during practice. He can be a good QB, but he's not a superstar just because we made it to a Super Bowl. Dammit.

We could be 3-0, we definately shouldn't be though.

Yeah, yesterday would have been a lot worse if we'd not had the benefit of a ton of Miami penalties. Except for Smitty and Foster a couple of times it's about the only way we gained yards.

Foster needs more touches, especially late in the game when the defense is a step slow and winded. But do not give it to him on HB Gut. Get the ball to him in space, at least on a toss sweep or a swing pass, and let him make people miss. Damn it's so frustrating to see us waste talent.

HH, my sentiments exactly. After the NO game I vented that we keep pushing Foster up the gut where he is least effective and more prone to fumble. One thing that I have noticed is that Fox and Co. think they can beat every team with the same old game plan. Change it up like we did for NE and we would have crushed the Dolphins. Talent is there something else is missing.

It's a tad off topic - but re: blocking & empty sets - did anyone see Stephen Davis own Zach Thomas on that blitz pickup in the single back set? That was a fist pumper. He totally chopped ZT down and then stonewalled his 2nd effort chest-to-chest. Brought tears to my eyes.

Sounds like the team is losing what got them to the Super Bowl in '03 -- chemistry. The players are second-guessing the staff in public. They might be second guessing each other in private. For darn sure some of them are second guessing themselves (Jake :imagestor, and probably Colbert). Need to get this stuff squared away. NOW.

Nah...In 2003, our cup runneth over.

We were winning all the close games. We won four of our first five by 6 or less. We won two in overtime, clinched the division with a 50-yard FG, and advanced to the title game in double OT.

Shit happens. We make less plays than we used to. When that happens, you lose. When that happens, chemistry is not as strong.
