I have an older laptop (Dell Inspiron 1501) that I decided to upgrade. Went from a 120 gig HD to 320 gigs.

Upped the memory from 1 gig to 2 gigs.

Should have the drive and RAM tomorrow.

Mainly speaking about the memory. Should I see a noticeable difference if the laptops performance?

doubt it... processor is what it is

will see less slow down when a lot of apps are open, but no speed increase

Actually, speed is fine. It's REALLY the apps loading and switching from one to the other. Guess I'll see.

Depends on the apps your run and the size of the files they use. Internet browsing it wont make that big of a difference. Huge spreadsheets, large graphics files or word processing docs for example would benefit from the RAM.

If that new HD is FASTER then it will help too.

The easiest way is to acquisition out the exact archetypal of processor currently installed in your laptop and apprehend up on its specifications. The next footfall is to bout the CPU atrium with a accordant CPU that's faster than the archetypal you currently accept installed.
