7:30am - How about some notes... After talking with a number of scouts and industry people the consensus seems to be that both LaRon Landry and Gaines Adams made a mistake by dropping out of this game. Most feel that they are far from locks to even be the first players chosen at their positions and in the case of Landry Reggie Nelson might already have passed him on a number of draft boards. Nobody has a problem with Brady Quinn or Joe Thomas dropping out (for the most part) but the same can not be said for Landry and Adams.

Just thought this was interesting and worth discussing. I really think that Reggie Nelson is an intriguing prospect and will be an Ed Reed type player. I like his upside a lot more than with Landry.

Landry has gotten a lot credit for his work so far in Mobile. He is a talented player who has a reputation before this week as being a bit uneven in his effort.

If it gets him to #14, that's fine with me.

After Atl waived/cut Lelie, you have to think they will look at WR. Ginn?

Possibly, but they do have Jenkins, who's not a throwaway with 7 TDs, and they have Finneran back to battle White. You add a cheap vet for #4 and your needs are met. They have a hole at safety, but they could take care of it in free agency. With Milloy not young, and being someone else's signing, I could still see a safety pick easily, it just might not be a #1.
