Kapanen, Ward File for Arbitration

Aaron Ward & Sami Kapanen filed arbitration papers yesterday; Though I'm sure Sami will get what he wants salary wise (or close to it), it looks like Aaron C-O-U-L-D be on the way out so David Tanabe can get back into the lineup full time . . . I say Aaron needs to stay on the roster; David still needs to learn how to be more physical. I still hear that 23 year old Niko Teslios (Chris Chelios' cousin) still isn't ready to play in the NHL, which concerns me. Does it take 5 years for a player drafted at age 18 to show whether or not he has what it takes to play on the next level ? ? ?

Between Astashenko, Kuznik, Bast and Hill we have enough defensive talent at Lowell to makeup if we have to trade Ward. His stock rose with his play last year. We gave up a 2rd pick for him and we could easily get that or maybe a 1st in return for him.

I would hate to see Ward go, but you bring up a good point. We have plenty of talent to take his place. Ward kicks some serious ass though. He plays patient and smart, and always finishes his checks with an elbow. I like that in a defenseman.

Damn, I heard "Rock you like a Hurricane" on the radio yesterday and I got goose bumps. I miss hockey.

I hear ya, My cane's are 52-16-2-5. It's damn near playoff time. Would it be weird if I didn't shave during my video game playoffs?

Damn Q you suck.... how could you live through 16 losses.. ouch

I made it through a season with the default roster and went 78-1-0-3 and I didn't restart any of them if you are wondering.

BUT I do have an advantage over you... that month I sat at home after knee surgery... oh yeah I went through 3 seasons in franchise mode.

Damn, that's impressive. I'm playing on the all-star level right now, so it was tough from the start. But I'm kicking ass now, I've won 20 in a row.

I just started a new season on All-Star. I've only played 3 games and won them but damn were they tight.

Yep, on video games, I just go straight to all-star, or the highest level. It's a bitch, but it makes me a better player.
