yeah, I'd like to find a kicker that's atheist or agnostic and compare career numbers to a handful that are devout christians. Then we would have hard numbers to see just how much influence Jesus has on the game of football.

I'd say that a devout Christian's confidence is certainly aided by a relationship with Christ, regardless of what anyone else's beliefs may be. Therefore if that relationship helped John get his game straight, and considering that his kick was the likely difference between playoffs and sitting at home in January, the most atheistic Panther fan should be praising John Kasay's relationship with whomever he pleases.
