Just occured to me...stacked up vs what we have now:

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

That's some shit-ass passing game

I've become less of a Schottenheimer fan, but he's not surrounded by great talent either.
True. They made a mistake spending so much at receiver and trying to be a passing offense in a bad weather stadium with a questionable young quarterback. The Jets should have signed another mauler up front along with a true blocking tight end, then run people over with Greene. Mark Sanchez shouldn't be passing 500+ times.

There's nobody on that offense that teams have to gameplan around.

well, when Callahan's run O doesn't work as well, the rest won't either, but only in 08 has the pass O been in the top half of the league and that was Favre (16th overall). If his name was Brian Smith, would there be any draw?

He doesn't have a lot of great players. Santonio has one 1,000 yard season, Burress is 34 and just got out of prison. Keller is useless on run downs. Sanchez is talented but never should have been drafted that high. LT is Jurrasic. The line isn't what it was. It's marginal talent.

Rex's fat mouth doesn't help, either. He's set unrealistic expectations for what they actually have. In reality, they haven't improved much since Mangini's last year.
