I like this win. A lot.

Love seeing a pair of dynamic scoring plays in succession to rip the opposition's heart out. Wish we defended the pass better, but getting up outta there when you're not at your best is good shit.

It seems the panther's haven't been at 'their best' much of the season, despite their record. If they don't start playing at their best quickly, there won't be much of a post season, if any. Some might say they have been playing at their best all season, which is actually the norm, with the two or three 'better' games being the anomaly.

The Jets dropped two touchdown passes and gave up two non-offensive touxhdowns. We definitely played our D game. We need to bring our A game to New Orleans.

An A game from here on out looking at the schedule, sans TB somewhat, is a necessity.

I'm sure Rogers will come back and look to beat our asses with his A game, Jones won't be dropping easy game winners, the vike's D will look to take cam's lunch money and Brees is looking at his time running out soon. You can bet your bottom dollar, all those doods will be bringing their A game.

We have to find more points on offense. The Dolphins game was an outlier, but on average we've struggled to score over 20 points a game on offense. That needs to change if you want to be an actual Super Bowl contending playoff team.

Yeah. But considering us a SB contending team the way our offense and dbs have and are playing, is quite a reach, though I'd love to be pleasantly surprised.

No, I was telling you the standard for Super Bowl teams. If the Panthers want to be a viable postseason team and not just playoff filler, they need to score more points. Even a team with a very good defense needs to average near 24 points.

I agree totally B. We just don't seem to have that in us this year. And for some reason, even having a #2 defense currently, we can't seem to consistently keep the other team from scoring nearly that, consistently.

Matt Kalil is an inhibiting factor. So is the lack of a deep threat. We can pull it off, but it means being highly efficient in the redzone. It's like trying to win a major championship in golf when you can't drive the ball longer than 275 yards. People have done it, but the odds are shifted against you.



Being good on 3rd down helps, but I feel like that's always a slightly overrated stat. You need explosives (20+ yard plays) and super-explosives (40+ yard plays) to be a real high end offense. Otherwise you're just hoping for sustainable high efficiency on 3rd down and inside the redzone, and that's hard to do. The explosive plays widen your margin of error.
