My womern turned me on to this dude a few weeks ago. He died in '97, but he's got some good tunes. A hell of a lot of soul for a honky like myself. Wide range of stuff from folky to rockish, but mainly, he just has a lot of soul and he's not skeered to show it.

Ive been a fan since '94. IMHO, he's the best singer of my generation. And a fantastic guitarist, which gets overlooked too often.

I'll stop now, before I fill up a page (and then some). You just named dropped one of my 3 favorite artists. The man was as soulful as a honky can be.

If you ever have any questions about him or want any obscure tracks, I probably have them.

I listened to Jeff's version of "Hallelujah" last night for damn near an hour straight. Damn it sucks he's dead.

BTW, I have a few live performance videos I might could get to you if you want. You can probably find most of them on your local PTP client, but just in case, they're here if you want'em (PM me). I also have a documentary or two.

Have you seen his performance of Satisfied Mind @ Sin-E from back in about '92? He looks like he's 16 but he absolutely kills the tiny crowd with it. I've got that one too, plus Grace on some French TV show, and a haunting Hallelujah performance in concert. Also have What Will You Say from Glastonbury in '95. Kickass tune.
