Jake's passing....

I haven't seen amazingly good from him all this season.

I've seen some incredible passes from him. He seems to force things at times, and you can tell when he gets a completion that his confidence comes back and he responds well - we need better checkdowns and dumpoffs for him to use to gain that rhythm.

Funny, it's not as if Jake's passing is above criticism, it's certainly not. But we gave Muhsin tons of shit forever about breaking off a route, which is something players do all the time in this offense, and that Davis did on this play - breaking it deeper in this case - and no one's lighting into Davis.

Probably because the outcome was so monumentally Beurleinesque that no one noticed.

I was wondering if they shouldn't have offered Peete the QB coaching job. Jake is high intensity and I think Peete helped by be a calming influnece.

Our offense does seem to be all or nothing. A few more short to intermediate passes might not hurt. You still need to stretch the field to run well but involving the tight end and the full back in the passing game would not hurt.

My god, you know Henning will never allow more than 1 pass per game to a TE. Maybe throwing to a TE/FB in practice once and a while would help as well.

Just for the record, our TE/FB positions have 9 receptions through the first 2 games of this season.
