Carolina Panthers quarterback Jake Delhomme returned to practice on a limited basis today, taking some snaps and throwing some passes for the first time since tearing ligaments in his right thumb on Carolina's final play at Philadelphia Dec. 4.

Delhomme's appearance on the practice field makes it more likely that he will start Sunday in New Orleans, in a regular season finale with playoff implications for Carolina.

The Panthers also signed a practice team quarterback, J.T. O'Sullivan.

Where do I know the name J.T. O'Sullivan from?

Was the number 3 in New Orleans behind, preseason all star if memory serves me well, just never go much done in limited appearences in real games.

according to Savio's link he's never thrown a pass in a real game

He's been around

I pray that if Jake is back that the team doesn't just go back to the game plan that lost us so many close ones. Keep up with the ball control and hope he can do something with the passes it opens up.

If Jake comes back then it will be great if we make the playoffs. We would have a chance to advance. If we are stuck with Weinkie it really does not matter if we make it or not since we are not going to win a playoff game without passing the ball.
