"We've confirmed that, regardless of coach Jack Del Rio's denials, the Jaguars were indeed shopping quarterback Mark Brunell earlier this week -- and that the team remains interested in trading him.

As mentioned below, count the Redskins among the few interested teams.

Sure, the 'Skins have Patrick Ramsey. But "win now" is owner Dan Snyderbrenner's annual mantra, and he'd likely be willing to park Ramsey on the bench if he can get an established player to run Steve Spurrier's offense."

They called the Jets too, but they said no interest. I would the think the Jets would have been all over that.

Why do you think the jags would be all over that. They already have an old beat up, worn out, almost done with football, injury prone quarter back. I don't see what another one would do for their team.

I don’t see Brunell fitting in any of the places that “might” need him as well as he could fit here for a year or two. He’s accurate, makes good decisions, and has a good deep ball. I know we can’t afford him and won’t be going after him, but he would do very well in this system IMO (at least better than Peete!).

BTW – Aside from the big $ differential, how could Fasani and his 00% QB rating look like a better move than Brunell to the Jets? We should get a 6th or 7th round pick from them just for the desperate notion alone.)

He was really good until injuries took away his mobility. I would like to have him here but that cap hit is brutal. We would instantly be a much more serious playoff contender with him. I think the Ravens are the most likely to acquire him.

Maybe next year we could get an A.J. Feely or a Marc Bulger? I wouldn't mind one of them, but not another aging QB.
