Its Unofficial: 'THE ROCK' is losing its lone NEXTEL CUP race

Its a shame NASCAR can't find a way to keep these smaller tracks open . . . Isn't there a way to bring at least a truck race to North Wilkesboro & Rockingham? You have loyal race fans in these markets and they should be given something vs. losing everything and letting the track fall into disrepair. Wasn't it just a few years ago that the previous owner of 'THE ROCK' spent tons of money on a new press tower ? All that has apparently gone to waste it looks like . . .


BTW, who thought it would be a good idea to have Darlington host a race in November ? ? ? ? ?

This really stinks

I can understand the loss of the race at Rockingham, but to take away the Southern 500 at Darlington stinks. It is tradition and apparently NASCAR doesn't care. Adding another race at Phoenix makes no sense. One race there is bad enough.

I hate it too boys.....but nobody is going to the races there. Maybe they coulda changed the schedule around to favor the Rock and Darlington. You know the saying....money talks and BS walks. NASCAR is going for the money in order to pay those huge purses. Its different now.
