IR players and the cap

Having 14 extra players on payroll can;t help the cap, and it's gonna make for alot of rotation.

Of the guys on IR, I think these are most likely gone:

Armstead
Pittman
Richardson

What a long list of 11 other guys, many of whom wil DEFINITELY take roster spots away from 2004 players.

My second tier list of 'may not make it back' is:

Tillman
Smart
Harris
Hampton
Brez
Carter

That still leaves 5 guys who will most likely take spots.

Davis
Foster
Smith
Jenkins
Nelson

You take JUST THOSE 5, and then also add at least 5 draft picks, and you have 10 guys on the roster now who are goners. More if Smart, Tillman, Hampton, Brez, Carter, etc manage to stay on.

So what 10 get the shitcan?

Looking at the roster - tons of possiblilities - Kadela, Ferrario, PInckney, Bennet jump out. Willig I hope, possibly Broussard or Ross.....

Alot of crazy shit to have 14 on IR.

Either way, we won't have to sign many to get to that 83 man roster. After draft picks, what 5 more guys?

A lot of those guys are FAs. Armstead I could see back, if he's cheap (the vet exemption is $450k on the cap), but I don't know what he could contribute.
Hampton or Wesley, at this point, but not both. I don't want to pay Dante the RFA tender, but I could handle having him back I guess. Same for Tillman as a backup, but we need a starter.

No way is Brzezinski worth what he's being paid, extension or not.

Funny (hear me laughing?) that the two biggest FA deals given out to OL guys by this regime have been total busts. Doughnut boy and Meadows. Really makes me scared to think of what they're gonna do if they look for FA RT help.
