I was wondering if anyone could give me a ballpark idea of what it costs to have the interior of a house painted? It is about 1800 square feet. I'd do it myself, but I have cathedral ceilings, and I'd need ladders and scaffolding and I own neither.

The job would require some hideous wallpaper removal as well.

Being a new homeowner, I have no clue what something like this would cost and just wanted to start bracing myself for the cash layout.

Thanks!!!

Cost me $850 to have about 600 sqft painted including a stairway. I provided the paint outside of that. With wallpaper removal, you're looking at some very expensive work. $2000 at least.

David Gomez..704-224-7239

say "a friend of a friend of Mandy's"

he did some work in my house, only in the foyer because of the hieght and against the stairs, otherwise I would never give someone money to paint...but give this guy a call

his prices will be the lowest you will find and he and his helpers are outstanding painters

Master bedroom only...removed wallpaper and painted (with vaulted ceiling) cost me $300. Room's pretty big. We had our downstairs done including the foyer. Think that was $1500 or so.

Yeah, I do not know what possessed the previous owners to put up this butt ugly wallpaper.

Would painters consider painting only above what I can easily reach with a roller (and would I save any appreciable amount of money that way)? I don't mind doing it myself, but would rather have a professional do anything involving ladders/scaffolds. Big boys like me need to keep their feet on the ground!

Thanks for the contact y2b!
