"Chad Pennington has passed for 41 TDs vs. 0 INTs inside Jets opponents' 20-yard line."

Pity for him it's a hundred yard field.

Of course, another way to look at that stat is that outside of the red zone, Pennington has an abysmal 14-30 TD to INT ratio.

so he has a career 55-30 td-int rate? nothing abysmal about that.s

For the Panthers, Jake has thrown 48 TDs in the Red Zone vs. 1 interception in three seasons. Which makes him 24-51 everywhere else. That second number looks really bad, but it makes some sense. Long TDs are harder to come by and interceptions can happen anywhere.

It would be interesting to see what % of TD passes league-wide are from within the 20, and how many interceptions. Pennington and Jake probably aren't that far out of the normal range.

I bet every QB has a crappy TD to INT percentage outside the 20.

I went to school with Chad at Marshall and hes married to a friends sister. Hes a very nice guy and has a great football mind. I thinlk if he could stay healthy he would be an elite QB. :twocents:
