Interest In Robinson Heating Up

The interest in Free Agent WR Marcus Robinson is beginning to heat up. Robinson has already visited with the Arizona Cardinals. Tuesday, Robinson visited with the Lions and today he is visiting with the Baltimore Ravens. Several teams, including Oakland and San Francisco, that have shown interest in Robinson.

In 1999, he caught 84 passes for 1,400 yards and nine touchdowns for the Chicago Bears. That season he made nine receptions for longer than 40 yards. The Bears had planned on building their offense around Robinson, who signed a big contract after the 1999 season. But injuries to his knee and shoulder have rendered him less effective.

Last season, Robinson was healthy enough to start 16 games but only caught 21 passes for 244 yards and three touchdowns. The 28 year old Robinson is 6-feet-3, 215 pounds and has good size for a wide receiver.

>> Why no mention of the Panthers....Come on guys lets bring this guy in!

We signed 2 vets and drafted a WR. Maybe later if he hasn't caught on.

No point in interest. He wants to compete, but he doesn't want to sign with a team that has a numbers problem - we have four strong receivers, drafted a player who could help out, and have at least one ST player there depending on whether or not Bates is technically put there again. There'd be no guarantees of playing time or scheme fitting him.

I just wonder if he can grasp the pen to sign his contract without getting injured in some manner.

Oh, BOO-HOO!:crybaby: I hate agents! They are so slimy and shark-like!

I think Hurney said this too. I wouldn't drop pursuit of him for a 7th rounder, unless he was very marginal in their eyes. Maybe so.

Robinson is apparently one of them there underachievers. I wouldn't want him here. Having to deal with his dildo agent (through Young) will be bad enough.(
