Unfortunately I'm not buying this. You could make the argument that no single player is as critical to the defense as Charles Johnson. Hardy's ability to rush the passer is sporadic, and while Kuechly and TD are both hugely important, they're less about direct impact than limiting offensive damage. The secondary has been interchangeable in part because no one there was great to begin with, plus they need to function well as a unit so even one extraordinary player could be canceled out by a weak one elsewhere. CJ is the only reliable source of a pass rush and the backups at DE appear to be pretty worthless. I hope I'm wrong about that, but I'm just glad he isn't done for the season.

On the brightside, Tyson Clabo has been horrible, at least as a pass blocker. We still have everything we need to go out there Sunday and fuckstart their offensive live. Maybe it's something that's too difficult to overcome long term, but I don't want to hear any excuses for this week. Go out there and do the fucking job.
