Hell they should. It'd leave the other guys out in the cold. The NHLPA would fall apart and have to restart. By that point the players would start crossing the picket lines and the game would go back to normal.

AP reporting today that the NHL is planning an October start, but will not start uinless a sdeal is reached for a new CBA. Replacement players idea is "losing steam."
