I mean what coach in the last 10 years got fired with more success than Steve Mariucci? Yea there might have been a few. I know dungy was relatively successful... but If I am a coach, I'm saying to myslelf... what did Mariucci do wrong? Hell I would not want to mess with that organization....

It was brought on by some personality conflicts in the front office. Plus, he had a hard time advancing in the playoffs.

everybody needs to be on the same page. if there's conflict and it can't be solved then you are probably better off getting rid of the irritation. coaches are dime a dozen (not necessarily good coaches). the 49's will come out for the better if they can get someone who can work well with walsh, me thinks. not that i care. honestly, i hope they sink into oblivion.

notice the tie. The 49er organization thinks it can do no wrong. It's done well replacing Walsh with Seifert with Mariucci, and Montana with Young with Garcia. That doesn't mean they're always going to be blessed with this luck. It seems as if the York family wants to change the way things are done up there, and part of that is in not paying a coach that much money. Not smart. Anybody who owns a sports franchise shouldn't be in that business for business' sake.
