R Gordon said he would pay Jimmy Spencers fine. :D

Kurt Busch deserves what he got and more. After reading today that he admitted on the radio he was trying to wreck Spencer at a track where speeds are 194, a punch in the face is the minimum he deserved. Kurt Busch is not a victim here. He has antagonized alot of shit with Spencer, R Gordon (said the Winston needed a caution so he wrecked him) and Harvick and many others, so he had it coming. I don' care if he does weigh 140 pounds and Spencer is 250, if you are gonna dish, you gotta take. I am sure the entire garage is happy with Spencer's actions, except the Roucsh people. I think Nascar should uphold Spencer's suspension because he should not of fought (though Busch deserved it), but Busch being a pussy and pressing charges in the criminal system is weak. Sport fights should not have police jurisdiction. This is no different than a hitter and pitcher going at it, and sometimes it needs to happen, but so should the suspensions.

I agree with you on sports fights, but I don't think Busch pressed charges - the police investigated on their own - at least that is what I have read.

vp, I thought the police only investigate if the victim wants to proceed.

Nope. Once the crime has been comitted, whether or not to proceed is out of the victim's hands.

You might be thinking of domestic assault cases - where the victim's version of events is basically required - unless it took place in public.

The way that I understand this is that cops saw the whole thing - and they are then required to investigate it.

At least that is the way that I think things go.
