But I sure wouldn't mind adding Hambrick in the Goings role.

ESPN.com's Len Pasquarelli reports the Dallas Cowboys will release RB Troy Hambrick.

I would.

Hambrick's proved nothing to me, and Goings has always done whatever was asked of him. He's a good 'tweener between FB and RB. At this point probably better than Hoover, who's become more of a pure fullback.

Nope, gimme Nick Goings all day long over Troy Hambrick. :nono:

if he could be taught to be a fullback he has potential. Goings is sorta our speed fullback guy that can play RB and recieve some. I honestly don't think Hambrick is as good. Granted like I said before he has the physical attributes to be a damned good FB if taught

I think we have too many tailbacks playng fullback already. I would love to see us get a Lorenzo Neal or Sam Gash kinda guy. A real battering ram full back would help our running game.

Lorenzo Neal was a tailback in college he moved to FB in the NFL

Maybe so but he was a pure full back in the NFL. We really do not have a true fullback on our roster.

actually Hoover's pretty close to being one. He played damn good as a fullback early last year and was meantioned some as a early ProBowl candidate, but for some reason we didn't really use too many FB sets later in the year

Hambrick is worthless IMO. He's too soft for his size, and not even good for a short-yardage back. But that's just me.
